Gravity Scooters is a small family-owned company founded in Catalonia, Spain, in 2007, dedicated to the design, manufacturing, and marketing of high-end mountain scooters.

Pioneers of downhill

Gravity Scooters was born from the passion for downhill and the entrepreneurial spirit of Quintín Desmonts and Judith García, co-founders of the brand. Since then, we have established ourselves as the reference brand in the manufacturing of 100% downhill scooters.

It all started in the 1990s, when Quintín, passionate about downhill and with previous experience in designing an innovative urban scooter called Push, decided to adapt that concept to mountain terrain. Thus, his first DH prototype was born, built in the garage of his home with basic tools, a lot of dedication, and the dream of creating something unique.

At that time, both Quintín and Judith were working as technicians in a multinational automotive company. There, they met and soon discovered a shared passion for design, mountains, and the freedom of riding.

When Judith tried one of the first scooters on the trails around her home, she felt the same thrill: pure adrenaline. They started riding with friends at bike parks with those early prototypes, and due to everyone’s insistence — convinced that this invention couldn’t be kept just between them — they decided to take the leap.

Combining Quintín’s experience in designing aluminum models and scooters with Judith’s expertise in quality control and mass production, they launched Gravity Scooters and began manufacturing their own scooters.

What began as a personal idea turned into a pioneering brand in the world of downhill and two-wheel adventure, paving the way for a new way to enjoy the mountains.

Today, they are a benchmark in Europe and remain true to the same idea: to offer a unique, safe, and fun experience for all audiences.

Year after year, they have perfected their scooters in every aspect: weight, geometry, materials, and finishes. Each improvement has a single goal: to deliver the best possible experience on the terrain.

From downhill to mushing: same philosophy, new application

At Gravity Scooters, we believe that choosing the right mushing scooter requires considering much more than just the price: each model is designed to deliver maximum performance based on the type of terrain, the number of dogs, their breed, and the driving style.

Later on, we were captivated by the world of mushing and discovered that everything we had learned in downhill could also be applied to this exciting sport. This is how our exclusive range of scooters for mushing was born, under a slogan that has accompanied us from the beginning: Mushing Evolution.

From the very first model, we applied the same design philosophy: stable, safe, comfortable scooters adapted to the real needs of mushers. Thanks to direct collaboration with both professional and amateur mushers, especially during the development of our sprint model Pulka R, we have been able to perfect our scooters into a true benchmark. Today, the new Pulka R is praised for its lightness, agility, and stability, and we continue to receive congratulations from our customers for its performance in both competitions and training.

Also for the little ones: the story behind the first Pixies

That first Pixies, made of steel, became her inseparable companion. They went everywhere together: to the forest, the village, and on family outings.

The first Pixies scooter was born at home, designed by Quintín for his daughter Berta, who was just six years old at the time. From an early age, Berta accompanied her parents, Judith and Quintín, on their mountain adventures, riding in a backpack as they explored trails on a scooter. But soon the time came for her to have one of her own.

Gravity Pixies are scooters designed to help young riders get started in downhill and mushing safely, easily, and with lots of fun. With an aluminum frame, disc brakes, and top-quality components, they are lightweight, durable, and more stable than any other kids' scooter on the market.

Today, Berta Desmonts is one of Gravity's top downhill riders and continues to share the passion that started it all.

For us, sustainable mobility is not just a concept: it’s part of our everyday life. From our home on the outskirts of Mediona, riding our electric scooter into town is a pleasure we enjoy every day. And we are not alone: in our area, many people use a Gravity as their regular means of transportation, choosing a greener, healthier, and more enjoyable way to move around.

Our Gravity Electric range represents our natural move towards electric mobility, without giving up the adventurous spirit that defines us.

Designed to move across trails, paths, and rural tracks — and perfectly suited for asphalt too — our electric scooters are the ideal option for enjoying the outdoors with comfort, power, and respect for the environment.

Despite the challenges, we remain committed to manufacturing our electric scooters in Europe, adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.

Current regulations require us to meet very strict demands that not only take time and effort but also significant financial investment: specific certifications, ISO 9001 compliance, and other procedures that do not apply to electric bicycles, nor as severely to scooters manufactured in Asia.

We've often heard the advice: "Why don't you manufacture in China? It would be so much easier," even from official organizations and sector associations.

But our commitment is to create durable, safe, and responsible products, made here, using European materials, and designed to withstand many years of adventures.

We design and manufacture our own scooters: from the frame to the final assembly.

All our models are fully designed and manufactured by us.

We build each frame one by one using Cr-Mo steel or aluminum, high-performance materials that guarantee strength, flexibility, and lightness.

This independence allows us to adapt to the real needs of each discipline.

Each model is designed from scratch, tested on the terrain, and refined down to the smallest detail: geometry, weight, stability, comfort, and durability.
